1. General

By booking an appointment or using services at Posh Paws, you agree to the terms and conditions set out below. These terms are designed to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all dogs in our care, as well as to provide clarity on our services.

2. Appointments and Cancellations

  • Appointments must be booked in advance, either online, by phone, or in person.

  • Please arrive on time. Late arrivals may result in a reduced service or cancellation.

  • We require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice or no-shows may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the appointment cost.

3. Dog Health and Behaviour

  • All dogs must be up-to-date with vaccinations, including flea and worm treatments.

  • Please inform us of any health issues, injuries, allergies, or behavioural concerns before the appointment.

  • Posh Paws reserves the right to refuse service if a dog shows signs of illness or aggressive behaviour.

  • If a dog poses a risk to staff or other dogs, we may stop the grooming process and request the dog be collected immediately. Charges for time spent will still apply.

4. Grooming and Styling

  • All grooming is tailored to your dog’s needs and coat condition. Severe matting may require shaving or de-matting at the groomer’s discretion.

  • We will always prioritise your dog’s comfort and welfare over aesthetic outcomes.

  • Any changes to the expected grooming style due to coat condition or health will be discussed where possible.

5. Accidents and Emergencies

  • While every effort is made to ensure your dog’s safety and comfort, accidents may occur during grooming. Minor nicks, clipper rash, or stress-related reactions are rare but possible.

  • In the event of an emergency, we will contact you immediately. If necessary, we will seek veterinary attention at your expense.

6. Payment and Pricing

  • Payment is due in full at the time of service.

  • Prices are based on breed, size, coat condition, and time required. Additional charges may apply for de-matting or behaviour-related handling.

  • We accept payment by cash or card.

7. Photography and Marketing

  • We may take photos or videos of your dog during or after grooming for promotional purposes (e.g., website or social media).

  • Please inform us if you do not wish for your dog’s image to be used.

8. Liability

  • Posh Paws is not liable for any pre-existing conditions or injuries that occur during grooming as a result of such conditions.

  • We are not responsible for loss or damage to collars, leads, or accessories brought with your dog.

9. Data Protection

  • Personal information is handled in line with our Privacy Policy and will never be shared without your consent.

  • Contact details may be used to confirm bookings or inform you of salon updates.

10. Changes to Terms

  • Posh Paws reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website.
